On Sunday, October 17th, a perfect fall morning for horseracing, Madrid deluxe celebrated their first CHARITY deluxe together with the organization AMREF Flying Doctors at the Zarzuela Racetrack in Madrid.
The launch of the fall edition of the Madrid deluxe, with an exclusive portrait of Sting on the cover, was the "leitmotiv" of the first charity deluxe that received many known personalities in Madrid. Among those present, those that stood out were Alfonso Villalonga, President of AMREF Flying Doctors, Manuel Campo Vidal, Foundation Ambassador and President of the Academy of Sciences and Television Arts, Fiona Ferrer Leoni, journalist and television anchor who supported the initiative and Mercedes Urrea, Director of Hola.com.
Located in one of the most exclusive areas of the racetrack, with a "green pass" tent reserved for the occasion. The event started with the first race of the day at 10:30 a.m.
After the thrill of competition Claudia Trimde, Director of MADRID deluxe, granted the MADRID deluxe Award to Handicap Mare winner of the 1500-meter race, rider J. L. Martinez, with the mare Muñeca Brava, who reached the finish line in 1'32''38.
After recognizing the efforts and congratulating the result, Manuel Campo Vidal addressed those present with words of appreciation for the assistance and explained the specific objectives of AMREF Flying Doctors. AMREF, founded in 1957, is a charity focused in the field of health that provides relief to different countries in Africa. The money raised will continue to aid the projects undertaken by the NGO.
With a delicious brunch, the guests were able to enjoy a supportive and exciting morning at the Zarzuela Racetrack.
