The National Library is celebrating its third anniversary

The Spanish National Library has started the celebrations of the tercentenary of its founding organizing with Spain Cultural Action,  300 years making history and the play The infinite book. The goal is to bring citizens the history of the oldest cultural institution in Spain, the National Library itself.


300 years making history tells the story of the National Library through more than 300 works, highlighting its rich collections and the variety of its bibliographic, iconographic, cartographic, audio, etc.. Note the presence of modern technology as a key factor in the preservation and dissemination of Libraries has funds. Indeed, one of the novelties of the show is the ability to download for free a specific application in AppStore and Android, which broadens the exposure data. On the other hand, it has also created a QR code to go directly to the tour of the exhibition.

The exhibition will be until next April 15 for free, from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 9 pm and on Sundays and holidays from 10 am to 2 pm.

On the other hand, the show The infinite book, of 55 minutes in length, is a play with text by José Ramón Fernández- National Prize for Dramatic Literature 2011- and stage direction Fefa Noia. The play tells the story of the National Library through the eyes and actions of Felipe V, Miguel de Cervantes, Francisco de Goya and Francisco Asenjo Barbieri.

Schools in the capital may enjoy the work until next April 13 at 11 am, making a prior request. The general public can see it starting at 7 pm.

Hotel ME

On 31 March, ME hotels in Barcelona and Madrid will offer a sustainable and sound festival in favor of the environment, adding to the global initiative "Earth Hour". It will change the lights candles to enjoy concerts in an intimate atmosphere.

 

The Sevillian artist presents an exhibition of photography, video, sculpture and digital art gallery Araunah Oliva in Madrid. The sample can be seen until next May 5.
