The First "Female" Lacoste Store in Spain
Fashion 21/03/2010
The French firm Lacoste will soon premiere a new commercial concept in Spain. We are talking about the first establishment that caters exclusively to female collections. The project has been led by Basi, a company that possesses a licence to manufacture and sell the crocodile brand in Spain.
With this project, Lacoste aims to bring fashion ever closer to the female public, the principal fashion consumer. In fact, in periods marked by decreased consumption, women cut clothing expenses after men.
Thus, the firm will open its first Spanish location devoted only and exclusively to female fashion. In reality, they are simply transforming an already existing boutique, which sits at 72, Rambla de Catalunya, in Barcelona. There, we will find textile, footwear and complements collections just for women.
Lacoste is waiting for the results of this new Barcelona project with baited breath, given that they plan to apply it later to other capitals. The initiative spearheaded by Basi and Lacoste centres on boosting sales among women, given that in times of recession, they are the ones that cut back more on expenses. We will keep tabs on this new refurbished boutique in Barcelona.
Basi is controlled by the Basi family and operates in the market through the brands Lacoste, Armand Basi and By Basi. The Group is currently immersed in launching new projects, such as introducing By Basi into the market, a brand geared towards a very young public.
