The segment devoted to rural tourism is often better appreciated by foreigners than by the inhabitants of Uruguay. This is a growing sector and height, as it offers an ideal environment to combat the stress away from big cities. Finca Piedra is a unique eco-tourist ranch, whose greatest charm lies in its selected vineyards. It is situated in the foothills of the Sierras of Muhammad, in the department of San Jose, only at 125 km of Montevideo and 90 km from Colonia. Its location allows to reach Buenos Aires in one hour by boat from the port of Colonia.

The place offers restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, horseback riding, biking or hiking in the countryside. Visitors will marvel at the natural landscapes of the Sierras of Muhammad, the vineyards, the stream that runs through La Coronilla for 3 km along the property, livestock and native horses (mostly born there) as well as the land of beekeeping and the rich flora and fauna. It propose bungalows and comfortable rooms in suite, equipped with heating frame and ensuring the comfort of its guests.

Gastronomy offers to the visitors several dining options in its two restaurants, "Tannat" (open to the public) and "Gardeliana" (designed for special events). The seal of quality characteristic of Finca Piedra is present in its variety of dishes buffet and grill cuisine. The craftsmanship of their products makes a difference that enhances aromas and flavors. Best Uruguayan meat may be associated with the fine wines produced in Finca Piedra with imported French vines from their owners. In the vineyard stands the iconic variety Tannat, which occupies half of its length, while the other half is occupied by Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Viognier and Pinot Noir.
